Many of our patients are interested in veneers and the way they can transform their smile but have many questions about the materials and process involved. Below Dr. Hoyt answers some of the most common questions he is asked about the process.
A veneer is a thin layer of porcelain that is placed over the natural tooth structure.
The veneers I develop for my patients are extremely thin and are constructed by layering porcelain. The layering of porcelain allows for variation and transition of color throughout the veneer. This degree of transition of color allows for a more esthetic result compared to other kinds of veneers that are one solid color and can appear opaque.
How much of my natural teeth will be removed?
The technology I utilize allows for a conservative approach with minimal reduction and sometimes no reduction to your natural tooth structure. While the porcelain I use is thin, it is also extremely strong.
What happens at my first appointment?
We first spend time together talking about your smile and your goals. I do a through exam and take photos. This consultation gives me the opportunity to create a custom smile design based on your goals, the frame of your smile, shape of your face, and personality. This time allows me to create a smile you will love to see every time you look in the mirror.
Do you have financing options?
Yes, we work with a company called Care Credit. They can provide monthly payment options to fit your budget. You are able to apply for Care Credit at home through their website or in our office.
